I highly doubt it, given Antonio had just done a whole season + europe campaign alone upfront.
It’s a disgrace really! The board should already have a striker ready to announce once the official window opens. They’ve had so long to sign someone since Haller. Rob Newman is probably by the pool watching YouTube clips of “Darwin Nunez skills” put together by a 14 year old.

We will be linked with hundreds and when the window closes we will be told there is no one suitable or that we tried.

I've moaned since the last time we bought a striker, which was the summer we signed Haller, that we've needed another striker.
That will be 7 transfer windows ago by the time the next window opens. I think we get at least one coming in.

Yes. Whether they will be the answer is another matter.
As for Rob Newman doing fuck all- there is a huge difference between scouting being done, targets identified, and the man who holds the purse strings actually putting in sensible, realistic offers for them and getting them signed. He might have done fuck all but his career to date would suggest otherwise. Man City have been pretty good at bringing the right players in.

Yes, and hopefully we will act quickly and not wait until the summer. We have had lots of time to identify targets so bring them in and give Rice and Bowen sound reasons to stay and not rely upon 'promises'.

We will sign "a striker" but fuck knows what he will turn out to be - a winger, a number 10, a central midfielder.
We really should have 3 or 4 of our signings lined up with just a few additions later but I really can't see it
